The Dover Art League is proud to offer this new series of classes for Summer 2010. The highlight of this offering is the development of our new “serious” art curriculum. These classes will focus on the serious young artist, and build strong foundation skills. They are sequential in nature so that your child can move progressively through the curriculum and build on skills mastered in each level of courses.
In addition to the “serious” classes we offer this summer, we will be continuing the program throughout the year so your child can work to build skills and confidence as they progress thru the curriculum. We hope this new series of classes will satisfy your young artist’s need for a program that takes their talent seriously.
Of course, Serious doesn’t have to mean that these summer classes won’t be fun. Learning how to draw or paint or take photographs is exciting. So in addition to working on “How” to make art, we will also be busy with “What” they want to make art about. And we’ve dedicated some classes and whole weeks to teaching them how to make the art about stuff they love.
Each week we will be just as “serious” about making art about monsters, wizards, or fashion as we are about traditional skills. Your young artists will have some serious fun at the art league this summer.
So look through our class descriptions and sign up your young artist for some serious fun and serious art instruction. Because no one is more serious about making art, than the Dover Art League.
Seriously!
